We covered the last days of the prophet (saw) before he passed away. What was the mood/environment of Medina when he became sick – His insistence to have Abu Bakar lead the salah even against the wishes of his wife Aisha (the daughter of Abu Bakar) since she thought he’s too soft and might start to weep. We also discussed when Prophet (saw) passed away it was Abu Bakar who rose above the rest to guide the Muslim community while everyone was still in shock and disarray. He gave a beautiful speech to calm the nerves of the Muslim community and remind them that the prophet (saw) was a man and a prophet of Allah. He said anyone who worships Muhammad (saw) let them know that he is dead but anyone who worships Allah (swt) they should know Allah (swt) never dies.
