In class, we learned about how to be good Muslim guests when we visit the homes of our friends. We learned the dua’as for leaving the home, entering the home, and the dua’as to say when we are leaving to go somewhere (see page E30 in the text).
We learned the duaa to recite before eating, as well as the manners of eating a meal as told by the sunnah of the prophet (saw). We also learned what to recite when we finish eating a meal. We also discussed ways to be polite when visiting other people’s houses, such as thanking the host and helping to clean up.
Please encourage your child to learn the dua’as in this chapter. With practice, they should be able to memorize them easily inshaAllah.
