Directions: There will be at least one question on the exam for every topic listed in this study guide. You are expected to use your textbook and notes to review all the units and chapters listed below, concentrating on knowing well the topics listed in this guide. The exam will consist of a mixture of multiple choice, true and false, and short answer questions. Ask Allah, the Most High, to help you do well on the exam and follow it up by studying.

 Know the meaning of hadeeth qudsi.
 Define Salat-ut-Tatawwo’.
 Describe when do we pray Salat-ut-Tatawwo’.
 Be able to cite some examples of wrong times to make voluntary prayers.
 Learn the hadeeth about the reward for praying 12 rakats in the course of one day and night.

 Define Tasbeehah, Tahmeedah, and Tahleelah.
 Learn the chapter’s hadeeth on the reward of praying Salat-ud-Duha.

 Describe the various ways in which it can be performed.
 Define Du’aa-ul-Qunoot.
 Know the hadeeth on witr that conveys that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
prayed witr very night.
o Chapter 5: Salat-ul-Musaafir: The Traveler’s Prayer (4 Exam Questions)
 Define what is Salat-ul-Musaafir.
 Describe when and how we shorten our prayers.
 Know why it is better to shorten prayers while traveling even if we feel we are able to pray it in full.
 Describe when we can combine prayers.
 Know how one can pray even if they are sick and cannot get up.
o Chapter 6: Appreciating Allah’s Gifts (5 Exam Questions)
 Describe how we should be to the Allah, the one who gave us everything we have.
 Describe how we can be grateful to Allah.
 Understand how to make sujood-ush-shukr
 Understand the hadeeth of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, where he states that
talking about the gifts of Allah is a type of thanks.
o Chapter 7: Sujood-ush-Shukr (4 Exam Questions)
 Define Sujood-ush-Shukr
 Learn how to perform Sujood-ush-Shurk.
 Understand the hadeeth of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him where it is related
that he would make sujood to thank Allah when something good happened to him.
